Troubleshooting Steps:
- First, reseat the cable on both sides
- Check the printer cable on both ends
- Second, do a hard-reset on the printer
- Turn the printer off
- Hold down the paper feed button
- Turn the printer back on with the paper feed button held down
- Finally, reboot the register
- Go to the manager screen and press the button at the bottom "Reboot Workstation"
Not working after above
- Move the printer to a working workstation
- Reboot the workstation and then test the printer
- Move the cable to a working workstation
- Reboot the workstation and test the cable.
Error messages
- "Unsupervised Abort Code Error"
- This is a software error - stop troubleshooting as a hardware issue
- Escalate to GGI helpdesk supervisor for assistance
- This is a software error - stop troubleshooting as a hardware issue
- Printer will print, but has a light / unreadable stripe down the center of the receipt
- This is a bad thermal printer head
- The printer needs to be replaced
- This is a bad thermal printer head
- Paper jam or paper door open error even when shut or clear
- Replace paper facing correctly and check paper feed
- Check for stuck paper or items such as coins or paper clips in the bottom paper well of the printer
- Clear debris directly under the cutter blade and adjust the blade
- If the light will not go out, the printer needs replacement

Never disassemble the printer when attempting to troubleshoot
